The Page and The Porch is a place full of book joy! I am an avid reader and a literacy advocate. I believe there is so much power in a story. Whether it’s a made up spooky tale around a campfire, a favorite book at nighttime, or laughing at family memories on the front porch – stories connect us.
They connect us to each other, the past, the future, and the make-believe! They take us to places we want to go and to places we could never imagine in our wildest dreams. Stores are teaching moments and they are emotional escapes. They open doors and hold up mirrors.
And they are joyful! And that is what this space is meant to bring you – book joy! I’ll share my favorite books for all ages and tips for parents to help grow joyful readers of your own.
